Ayo Ngozi Drayton | The Creative Root
Ayo Ngozi Drayton (she/her) is an herbalist, educator, and artist. Trained as a clinician, Ayo is an instructor at community-based herbal schools and conferences, teaches and makes medicine through her own platform, The Creative Root, and in 2020 started Planting Reparations, a reparations-based, mutual aid initiative that redistributes plants and healing resources to Black people. Ayo is committed to learning from ancestral tradition, documenting herbal and cultural practices, and serving beloved community.

Felicia Woodard


Felicia Thomas MA., is a dance artist & educator, yoga & mindfulness facilitator, and restorative space curator from Houston, Tx. After graduating with her bachelor’s in Dance from Sam Houston State University she began dancing professionally with Second Generation Dance Company, Urban Souls Dance Company, Kucheza Ngoma Dance Company, and LD Samba Dance Company. After Co-Founding "Pretty Cultured" in 2012, Thomas presented "Love Spell", became a DSH Artist in Residence, and presented "Tender" and “Adura”. She also competed for Samba Queen USA and was a top 10 Finalists. After the birth of her daughter, Felicia was chosen as 1 of 5 artists for Dance Source Houston and Houston Ballet's HIVE and performed as 2019 Houston Carnaval Queen presented by Next Brazilian Productions. Currently, Felicia teaches dance and yoga, and presents the “Movement Passport" dance workshop with "Pretty Cultured" annually.
